What I did wrong was, instead of adding half a cup of granulated sugar to the apple filling, I replaced it with salt. I was about to put the crust on top until I tasted it. THANK GOD I TASTED IT!!.. People would have seriously died of a sodium overdose. But I didn't toss it, I had to rinse the damn salt off. Then I had to mix the ingredients all over again (of course I tasted the sugar to see if it was the right one this time). In the end, no one noticed anything.. it wasn't salty at all, instead it was rather too sweet.
I've done this before when I was trying to make pineapple upside-down cake. I found out when I noticed that it wasn't baking properly. -_-. This just proves to show that I'm gonna need glasses someday. CAN ANYONE SERIOUSLY TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TEXTURE OF SUGAR AND SALT???
Meh... still working on projects... hopefully be done by Sunday so I can enjoy St. Patty's Day and get arsed drunk. You've gotta love the Irish.
